Images can be opened in the editor using the icon Insert / edit picture to be added.

Alternatively, there is the option of inserting images using drag & drop. To do this, drag the picture into the editor window with the mouse button held down.

Integrate image of a website

If you have images that are already published on a website and available via URL, you can insert these images into your text by clicking the button Insert / edit picture (see fig.). Please note that you must take into account the applicable rules on copyright when integrating third-party images.

After clicking on the image symbol, another editor window opens in which you can enter the Internet address of an image that you have found on the Internet. Make sure that the image path actually points to an image. You can tell by the ending. Image formats end e.g. B. with .jpg, .gif, .png.

Click on the button Insert inserts the picture into the editor.

Insert image from local data carrier

After clicking on the image icon described above, you can use the function in the opened extended editor window picture choose and upload to display an image file from a local data carrier or from your mood repository on your mood reading page.

Click in the worksheet Generally on Choose or upload an image . You will then receive a selection window from Moodle, through which you can either access images that have already been uploaded to Moodle or upload files.

click on Upload file if you want to use a picture from a local storage device in Moodle.

Otherwise, you also have access to the other repositories that are available to you here.

Look for clicking the button Search the local file on the local disk that you want to upload. The path to the local file then appears in the field attachment .

In the field Save as... you can enter a descriptive name for your file under which this file should be kept in the mood database.

in The Field License you can choose the license under which the picture is or, if you made this yourself, should be.

Then click on the button Upload file . The file is only uploaded to the mood reader. You can find the file via the path Server data system Name of the course in which the image was uploaded .

Integrate image from mood reader

You can integrate images from every course in which you have editing rights in any other place in your Moodle presence. To do this, select the symbol in the editor insert Picture (For a description, see the beginning of the document) and select in the extended editor that then opens Choose or upload an image .

A Moodle window opens in which you can search for and integrate an image that is already on the mood server. All images available to you can be found in the server files repository.

Use the path to find an image that has already been uploaded System / ... [path to the course in which the image was uploaded] and then select the picture you want to insert.

The following window will open. Choose the button Choose a file .

click on Choose a file inserts the link to the server file into the Moodle editor. You can edit the representation further in the editor.

Image display in the editor window

In the extended editor window you have the option in the worksheet presentation set the image size, spacing and frame settings as well as the orientation.

The dimensions are given in pixels (px). The function Alignment allows you to position the image on the top left and let the text flow around it. The position, spacing and frame settings are displayed in a preview. At the same time, it is possible to manually adjust the CSS command in the Format line.

You can also call up this window with the settings for the image later. To do this, mark the picture and then click on the icon Insert / edit picture . Alternatively, there is a corresponding entry in the context menu that can be reached by clicking with the right mouse button.

Change the image size in the editor window

You can make small adjustments to the size of the image in the editor. To do this, click on the handle in one corner and drag the frame to the appropriate size.
