In addition, they would be impractical for regular use because the "prepaid card" has to be topped up constantly. But that no longer applies to current prepaid tariffs, because tariffs with low minute and SMS prices are now available, and many prepaid tariffs also offer cheap options for surfing the Internet. In addition, regular charging is possible with many providers using convenience charging, so that this process takes place automatically after the initial setup without any further action.

The discounter tariffs in the Telekom and Vodafone networks still do not allow the use of the fast LTE network. And internet or flat rate options are often not valid for one month, but are billed every 28 to 30 days. With a term of 28 days, a year has 13 billing periods rather than 12. And if you do not recharge regularly, you have to fear that the SIM card will be deactivated.

In the following two tariff tables we compare selected prepaid tariffs in the Telekom, Vodafone and Telefónica networks. For a better overview, the first table contains prepaid tariffs that are implemented in the Telefónica network.

You can find other tariffs and providers in the Telefónica network at any time in our mobile phone tariff comparison. There you can also specify your usage behavior and compare the resulting costs for the respective tariffs.
