Which is your favorite book

What is your favorite book?

What is your favorite book? What do you like to read? How do you talk about books? What types of books are there? In this post, you will learn all of that.

A: What's your favorite book?

B: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

A: What is the book about?

B: This is a science fiction book. It's about a man who hitchhikes across the galaxy.

A: Really? Hmm I never thought.

B: You can never judge a book by its cover, but sometimes by the title.

Why do you like your favorite book?

A: Why do you like this book?

B: I like books that are set in space, but this book is not only set in space, it is also funny.

A: Do you like comedies?

B: Yes. Not really “comedies”, but good books that are funny too.

A: I prefer non-fiction books, especially books about history such as Egypt, Chinese past, Maya and so on.

B: Boring! I almost fell asleep while you were talking about it. I'd rather read a dictionary or an encyclopedia.

A: The dictionary wouldn't be that bad. There's a lot of good information in there.

B: (yawn) Are you still talking about those boring nonfiction books? The only good non-fiction books are biographies that read like a novel.

Children's books?

A: Let me guess. You like children's books or books with lots of pictures. Maybe something from Dr. Seuss?

B: Children's books are not bad, and books with a lot of pictures can be very interesting. Do you have a problem with it?

On a. I'm just wondering if you can read at all.

B: You are right. I can't read at all. I only listen to audiobooks or watch the film based on the book.

the time puzzle - A Wrinkle in Time

A: Like this new movie “The Time Puzzle”? I read this book as a child. That was my favorite book. Charles Wallace is my favorite character. He's so smart and the other kids in school don't like him. Every time I've read this book, I've imagined I was Charles Wallace.

THAT is really Mr. Antrim's favorite book. You can find out more about it here.

B: Then you know that the other children don't like him. You have that in common with Charles Wallace, but unlike you, he's smart. You're more of one of those kids in town who are influenced by and directed by “IT”.

A: Oh. You really read this book.

B: No. That's all in the new trailer.

A: But you have to read this book. It's such a good book.

You can read this book too. There are links for this in the next few sentences. There is an audio book, a paperback and a hardcover edition. I've also linked a list of suggested books here.
