Continuation message

Would you like to announce the continuation of your studies for the next semester?

The course must be continued every semester within the general admission period or the grace period. The notification is made by paying the student union fee and any tuition fees. The continuation notification is only effective after the full amount has been received. Please check your payment and don't forget to renew your Student Card at the service point.

Information on tuition fees

Are you studying at several universities at the same time,

  • you must announce the continuation of your studies at each university. This is only done automatically at the university where you pay the tuition fee. If you have not paid the tuition fee at the University of Innsbruck, but would like to continue your studies here, you must report this to the relevant department of the studies department.
  • which stipulate different amounts, the higher amount must be paid; otherwise the continuation message (enrollment) will not be accepted.

Admission to the course expires automatically (de-registration) if the tuition fee has not been received in full and on time. If you are not yet "enrolled" at the University of Innsbruck, you must first be admitted.

Change of field of study / taking up another degree or deregistering from a degree

Would you like to take up an additional degree? Already Students admitted to Innsbruck can from the Course offer choose your degree and start there the Online application for further study. However, existing data and documents no longer have to be uploaded. Personal enrollment is also no longer necessary. However, the study department reserves the right to request further documents or to ask the students to appear in person at the study department. The start of further studies is possible during the Admission deadlines possible.

If you want to change your field of study or want to close your studies, please submit an application to close your studies online via LFU: or send an online application for your new degree.

Additional info: If you receive family allowance or a scholarship, the number and timing of the change of course is limited. Inquire at your tax office or the scholarship office whether you will still be entitled to this support after the change.

Official name change

The change of your data will be carried out in the study department. You need for that

  • the civil amendment certificate (e.g. marriage certificate) in the original + copy
  • and your student ID.

Issuing confirmations

You can print out confirmations about your studies and your study time via the student portal LFU: online.

For data protection reasons, email inquiries to issue confirmations that do not come directly from the university's internal study account (student.uibk.ac.at) must include an official photo ID: [email protected]

Co-allocation

If Students at the University of Innsbruckat another Austrian university Attending courses and / or taking course exams that are not offered at our university, an application for co-registration must be submitted to the university concerned.

Co-registration requires proof of the registration of the continuation of studies in the relevant semester and payment of the tuition fee. In addition, you need a beforehand Confirmation from the responsible dean of studiesthat it is not possible to take the desired exam at the University of Innsbruck (not applicable if you are also taking part at the Medical University of Innsbruck).

First-time participation in the courses offered by the Medical University (= MUI)

The first co-registration at the MUI takes place in 2 steps:

Step 1:First, do the student pre-registration electronically.

Step 2: Bring incurrent study sheetand your `s Student IDafter the student pre-registration has been carried out in the department for student services (admission area) of the MUI.
After checking the documents, you will be accepted as a co-enrolling student at the Medical University of Innsbruck and will receive user data for activating the account in i-med.inside. You can use this to print out the study sheet and the study confirmation from the MUI.

Co-registration at the Medical University of Innsbruck is for every semester within the admission period NewReport to. The Online continuationtakes place by means of an informal declaration of the continuation of the co-document status plus study sheet (attachment). For reasons of data security and validity, this must be sent to the official student email address of the MUI (x.y. @ student.i-med.ac.at) to [email protected]

Co-registration at the University of Innsbruck for students from other Austrian universities

Please inquire at your home university about authorization to take courses at another university. The responsible study law body at your home university can provide you with information about the recognition of examinations that you have completed at the University of Innsbruck.

Subsequently, an application for co-registration can be submitted to the study department of the University of Innsbruck.

  • Student ID
  • Current study sheet (note: "registered")
  • Confirmation or notification of entitlement to co-occupancy

Continuation of co-allocation

Due to the limited admission to the completion of courses in a semester, the above confirmations must be applied for in each semester during the admission period.

Co-registration at the University of Innsbruck by MUI students

For the first co-enrollment at the University of Innsbruck, come to the study department during the admission period and bring them to the table current study sheetand your `s Student IDWith.

Deregistration from the University of Innsbruck

Would you like to deregister from your degree (s)?

Please submit an application for closure via LFU: online under "My mailbox (incl. Online applications). As soon as your application has been processed by the study department, you can print out a current confirmation of the changes made online via LFU: online.

The studies department will be happy to provide you with further information.

Additional info:If you want to continue the same course at another Austrian university, you will also need a certificate of departure. Please request this separately from the Studies Department.
