Back in 2011, a boy, who weighed 6,080 grams, saw the light of day in Berlin. Jihad was even bigger at six inches. The longest baby in Germany to date was 62 centimeters and was born in 2016 in southern Hesse.

The smallest baby in the world

The oldest mother

The Spaniard MarĂa del Carmen Bousada de Lara held the record for the world's oldest mother for a long time. In 2006, at the age of 66, she gave birth to twins Christian and Pau, who were born through in vitro fertilization. The Indian Rajo Devi is said to have been even older at the age of 70: with the help of egg donation and artificial insemination, she had a daughter in 2008.

Most of the children in total

This is an extended family: According to tradition and the Guinness Book, the Russian woman Vassilyev gave birth to 69 children in a total of 27 births between 1725 and 1765. 16 pairs of twins, seven triplets and four quadruplets.

Most children at one birth

Births of nine and ten births have also been recorded, but not all babies survived here. In Germany, the record is six children in one fell swoop: In Berlin in 2008, sixlings were born, four girls and two boys.
